(Bingham Island) Area
- Guest and Map Info
The South of Southern area begins at a lovely white sandy
beach launch located just East of the Southern Boulevard Intracoastal
bridge.
Your
trip heads South and skirts the native barrier islands and
the man made island features allowing you to observe birds,
mangroves and marine life in their natural habitats.
Quiet tidal currents and the sound of the Atlantic ocean
in the background just over the island of Palm Beach make
this an amazing tour just minutes away from the hustle and
bustle of city life.
The
wooded and dense mangrove characteristics of the South of
Southern Tour make for conditions suited to manatees and large
schools of fish.
Hidden
coves and tidal bays hold an wonderful assortment of native
and migratory wildlife. Osprey, herons, egrets and more frequently
inhabit this area. Dolphins and manatees also have been seen
in the deeper channels around Bingham Island.
The peacefulness and beauty of this area takes you away to
what old Florida would have felt like. Our weekday trips are
almost completely secluded making this area a trip to remember.
